So You Think You Can Dance hopeful Mark Calape has already succeeded on a BBC dance talent series.

Calape, 24, who is in the final 12 dancers on Nigel Lythgoe's programme, appeared on BBC Three show Move Like Michael Jackson in 2008.

The hip-hop performer won the contest, which was hosted by Reggie Yates, with his dance crew The Animaineux.

Calape, who has said that he is taking part in SYTYCD for his son, got the chance to perform at Jermaine Jackson's planned 'Tribute' concert.

"2010 could be an amazing year for Mark Calape," a source told DS.

"He has already earned the right to play Wembley with Animaineux for a global audience and Jermaine Jackson, but he could also walk away with £100,000 if he triumphs on So You Think You Can Dance."

Anabel Kutay and Chris Piper became the first contestants to be voted off the So You Think You Can Dance live finals on Saturday.
