The former Eternal popstar was a late addition to the judging panel after impressing producers when she appeared as a guest at the audition stages.
According to some fans of the show, Redknapp outshone Nigel Lythgoe, Arlene Phillips and Sisco Gomez on the first two live shows.
Forum member gilesb said: "I think she is great. It's great to see that she isn't intimidated by Arlene or Nigel and states her points very well. She is a great addition, I think all four judges are great really."
Fellow forum user Hun1 commented: "I think she states her opinions very well, in a clear, concise manner that is to the point, and is not overly wishy-washy. I think because she is pretty and perceived to be the judge that judges 'personality' and 'performance' that one assumes she is going to be the flaky, soft, generic judge that everyone loves. Instead she actually has very clear ideas, and expresses them without to much drama or hyperbole."
Scarlet O'Hara claimed that Redknapp is a better reality TV judge than Alesha Dixon, Cheryl Cole and Emma Bunton, arguing that she "actually sounds like she knows her stuff".
Another forum user added: "I thought Louise was going to be quite timid and add little value. But I like her forthright manner and I agree with a lot of her views."
So You Think You Can Dance continues on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
