5.3 million see Charlie's 'SYTYCD' win

Saturday night's So You Think You Can Dance finale performed well for BBC One, the latest viewing figures show.

The conclusion, which saw Charlie Bruce emerge as the winner of the first UK series, averaged 5.31m (22.1%) between 7.45pm and 9.30pm.

Casualty aired immediately afterwards, drawing a respectable 6.19m (26.6%).

Live Winter Olympics coverage claimed 2.87m (12%) between 7.30pm and 9.15pm for BBC Two, then the audience dropped to 1.14m (4.9%) during The Virtual Revolution, which aired at 9.15pm. QI XL followed at 10.15pm, drawing 1.54m (4.9%), then Heroes had 640k (4.7%) at 11pm.

Harry Hill's TV Burp logged 4.93m (21.4%) at 7.30pm, then Take Me Out drew 4.32m (18.1%) during the 8pm hour. All Star Mr & Mrs, which aired during the 9pm hour, pulled in 4.64m (19.2%).

Channel 4's film-fest kicked off with Fantastic Four, which averaged 1.68m (7.2%) between 7pm and 9pm. My Super Ex-Girlfriend followed, interesting 1.31m (5.8%).

Five's repeats performed as follows: two episodes of NCIS grabbed 1.28m (5.6%) and 1.88m (7.8%) at 7.15pm and 8pm, then CSI had 1.87m (7.7%) at 9pm.

Overall, BBC One came top during primetime with an average share of 23% to ITV1's 18.2%. BBC Two was third with 8.9%, followed by Channel 4 with 6.3% (+1: 1%) and Five's 6.8%.
