'90210' remake pulls in over 500k for E4

90210, which began with a double bill of episodes, averaged 414k (2.1%) for E4 from 9pm. An additional 110k (0.9%) watched an hour later on E4+1.
The programme was confidently beaten in its slot by 24, which took 619k (2.8%) for Sky1 in the 9pm hour. BBC Three's rerun of Gavin & Stacey was also more popular, with 450k (2%) from 9pm.
The most popular multichannel programme of the day was Fiver's premiere of the next Home & Away, seen by 667k (3.7%) at 6.30pm. E4's first-look Hollyoaks was second, with 641k (3.3%).
Coronation Street brought in 9.93m (42.5%) to ITV1 at 7.30pm, then 9.55m (38%) an hour later. EastEnders had 9.3m (38%) for BBC One and 554k (3.1%) for BBC Three, while Emmerdale put in 7.48m (34.4%) at 7pm.
Hollyoaks pulled in 1.79m (8.7%) for Channel 4 and on Five, Neighbours had 1.48m (9.2%) and Home & Away had 1.06m (5.6%).
BBC One's The One Show took a jump in the 7pm slot, registering an impressive 5.47m (25.3%) over 30 minutes.

The penultimate quarter-final of University Challenge took 3.28m (13.4%) for BBC Two at 8pm, then a new week of MasterChef began with 3.52m (14%). A new series of Horizon - this week looking at why thin people are not fat - interested 2.43m (9.8%) in the 9pm hour.
Channel 4's Time Team: Ainsbrook, about a possible Viking boat burial in Yorkshire, managed 1.31m (5.3%) in the 8pm hour, then campaigning documentary Chickens, Hugh and Tesco Too appealed to 2.44m (10%).
On Five, Fifth Gear delivered 822k (3.3%) in the 8pm hour, then a screening of Bruce Willis movie Last Man Standing averaged 771k (3.7%) over two hours.
ITV1 improved its average primetime share by one point to 26.6%, while BBC One was roughly level on 21.4%. BBC Two managed 8.9% for third, followed by Channel 4 on 7% (+1: 0.8%) and Five on 3%.
