'Being Human' ends run with 1 million

Being Human bowed out to 1m (3.9%) for BBC Three last night, early viewing figures show.

Over its eight-episode run, the supernatural series has averaged 1m (3.7%), peaking with 1.41m (5.4%) with its opening episode back in January.

Also on the multichannel stations last night, Sky1's screening of the latest instalment of 24 took 471k (1.8%).

Elsewhere, Lark Rise To Candleford interested 6.24m (22.4%) for BBC One at 8pm, then the audience dropped to 4.4m (16.5%) during the 9pm screening of Seven Ages Of Britain.

BBC Two's live coverage of the Winter Olympics averaged 2.01m (8.4%) across the 8pm-11pm period.

Over on ITV1, Dancing On Ice attracted 8.38m (31.3%) between 7pm and 8.30pm, then 7.6m (28.9%) tuned in for the results show at 9.30pm. Sandwiched in between, Wild At Heart logged 7.01m (25.7%).

Come Dine With Me grabbed 1.21m (4.4%) for Channel 4 at 8pm, then Saving Private Ryan took 1.76m (9.8%) between 9pm and 12.15am.

Five's film fest kicked off with Big Daddy, which had 1.21m (4.6%) across the 6.45pm-8.30pm period, then 1.22m (4.8%) tuned in for Anger Management between 8.30pm and 10.30pm.

Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 25.7% to BBC One's 20.5%. BBC Two was third with 7.7%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.6% (+1: 0.5%) and Five's 4.6%.
