Being Human star Russell Tovey has revealed that viewers will meet the family of his character George in the upcoming third series.

Former Vicar of Dibley star James Fleet will appear in a future episode as the werewolf's bumbling father.

"All though the whole series I've said I wanna meet my mum, because [George] did a runner from his family when he found out he was a werewolf, and they've done it!" Tovey told SFX. "I don't know if that's for me, or if I planted the seed, but to go back and see George's family and his past is gonna be really cool."

The actor added that George will come to terms with his lupine condition in the new run.

"He's in love [with Nina]," he explained. "He's not struggling with life anymore, I don't think, because there's someone else there, sharing with life with him."

Being Human is expected to return to BBC Three in January.
