'Inbetweeners' ends run with 1.2m

The series two finale, which saw Jay show his sensitive side, drew an impressive 909k (5.4%) during the 10pm hour. A further 297k (3.2%) tuned in for the teen comedy on E4+1.
Also on the multichannel stations, the fourth episode of Katie & Peter: Stateside took 1.07m (5.4%) for ITV2 at 9pm.
More4 and Sky1 went head to head between 9pm and 11pm with double episodes of ER and Bones respectively. ER came out on top, pulling in 718k (3.6%) at 9pm and then 791k (5.2%) with its second episode, while Bones managed 518k (2.6%) during the first hour and then 409k (2.7%) at 10pm.
Elsewhere, ITV1's Taggart led the 9pm hour, attracting 4.37m (19.8%). Its nearest rival, Crimewatch On The Streets, put in 3.03m (13.7%) for BBC One.
Channel 4's Cutting Edge film, Madeleine Was Here, which followed the McCanns as they investigated Madeleine's whereabouts two years after her disappearance, was seen by 2.32m (10.5%).
The Mentalist, starring Simon Baker as psychic-turned-detective Patrick Jane, pulled in 2.06 (9.3%) for Five, while a new BBC two series, Keep It In The Family, opened to 1.13m (5.1%).
Earlier, at 8pm, the latest trip to The Bill logged 4.5m (21.1%) for ITV1, and 1.94m (9.1%) tuned in for the penultimate episode of Kirstie's Home-made Home on Channel 4.
The final episode of BBC Two's Professor Regan's... bowed out with 1.2m (5.6%) and Five's I Own Britain's Best Home interested 737k (3.5%), putting the channel in last place during the hour.
Over on BBC One, My Family had 5.41m (26.1%) at 8pm. The audience then dropped to 4.72m (21.6%) during the 8.30pm screening of DIY SOS.
Overall, BBC One came top during primetime with an average share of 22.1% to ITV1's 19.3%. Channel 4 was third with 8.1% (+1: 1%), followed by Five's 5.6% and BBC Two with 5.3%.
