Johnstone, who previously worked at the Macdonald Crutherland Hotel in East Kilbride, described his win as a dream come true.
He said: "It was an incredible experience and one that I never thought I would get to take part in. I'm so pleased to have won the competition and as far as my career is concerned it has encouraged me to fulfil all my dreams."
