The legendary Michelin starred chef admitted he was impressed by the IT designer, who took home the TV cooking title in February.
"Mat is a talented chef with a flair for good, locally produced food," the Restaurant star told The Mirror. "I would certainly be interested in hiring someone with his ability."
Follas, 42, commented: "Raymond Blanc is one of my biggest inspirations so the possibility of working with him, or in one of his restaurants, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me."
Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Masterchef will be moved to BBC One next year because of its high ratings. Over 5 million viewers watched John Torode and Greg Wallace crown Follas the champion last month.
