'Celebrity MasterChef' dents Corrie

Friday's edition of Celebrity MasterChef dented ITV1's Corrie, according to overnight data.

BBC One's cookery show saw a week-on-week rise of 480k, while 200k fled Weatherfield between 8.30pm and 9pm.

Later, My Family and The Old Guys both performed well from 9pm, with 4.56m (20.7%) and 3.25m (15.1%). Would I Lie To You? amused 2.97m (18.8%) at 10pm.

Dickinson's Real Deal logged 2.39m (10.8%) for ITV1 at 8pm, after which 3.12m (14.3%) caught a repeat of Doc Martin.

Big Brother's eviction show was seen by 2.44m (11.2%) at 9pm and 2.2m (14%) at 10.30pm for Channel 4. Pete Versus Life, a new sitcom, picked up 1.16m (6%) at 10pm.

BBC Two's Mastermind: Champion of Champions from 8pm followed by Gardeners' World averaging 2.27m (10.3%) and 1.61m (7.1%). Home Movie Roadshow began with 1.77m (8.1%), then Roger And Val Have Just Got In appealed to 1.71m (8.9%) at 10pm.

Over on Five, 1.06m (4.7%) tuned in for Police Interceptors at 8pm. The Mentalist and Law & Order: SVU followed with 1.22m (5.6%) and 1.02m (5.7%).

Overall, BBC One led primetime with 20.9% to ITV1's 19.6%. BBC Two just made it into third place with 7.1%, while Channel 4 was fourth with 7% [+1: 0.8%). Five finished last with 4.7%).
