Sherlock returns to BBC One on New Year's Day to finally reveal to fans just how Sherlock and John escaped that classic series one cliffhanger.
Newcomer Lara Pulver arrives on the show as Irene Adler, while we also get to see some more of Sherlock's arch-nemesis Jim Moriarty. However, it will be the return of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman's double act as Sherlock and John Watson that will really excite fans of the detective franchise.
The second series' highly anticipated premiere has been billed as "effortlessly dynamic, effortlessly cool" by Digital Spy's TV team.
Sherlock returns to BBC One on New Year's Day at 8.10pm on BBC One.
