The Aussie cricketer, who loves to cook despite having no sense of smell, impressed the judges with crusted salmon and a ten-layer crepe cake.
Katich told The Daily Telegraph: "Everyone thinks that not having a sense of smell must hold me back when I'm cooking, but the only problem I have is that I don't know when anything is burning."
The sportsman said his selected dish was his wife Georgie's favourite and added: "At home I do all the cooking because I miss it when I'm away."
The NSW Blues captain was up against fashion designer Alex Perry and broadcaster Wendy Harmer in the fourth heat of the cookery competition. He will face celebrities such as INXS musician Kirk Pengilly and The Biggest Loser instructor Michelle Bridges in the next round.
