Tam & Jayson depart 'Coach Trip'

Tam & Jayson have departed Coach Trip after 20 days on the Channel 4 reality show.

The two best friends from London, who led what was dubbed the "Young Alliance" on the programme, were given their second yellow card by tour guide Brendan Sheerin on Friday's programme.

Russ & Caroline, Lynne & Becky and Luke & Trish all voted for the duo to be kicked off the show in the daily vote.

"You've been here since day one. You've had a great time. We think maybe it's time for new people to enjoy it," said ex-popstar Russ. Away from the rest of the group, he added: "Tactically, they are going to stay in to the end unless something happens."

New arrivals Luke & Trish sealed Tam & Jayson's fate, commenting: "We are also voting for you. It was due to the seating and we didn't get to know you. We are also aware that you have been here the longest."

Speaking after the vote, Tam said: "We kind of had a feeling it was coming today. It was the way the voting was going and people were making friends. But good luck. Nothing lasts forever."

Afterwards, he admitted to being "disappointed to lose to a pair of Z-list celebrities", referring to Scooch duo Russ & Caroline.

Students Paul & Matt are now the only original pairing still on the coach. The show continues tonight at 5pm on Channel 4.
