Amy Childs has said that she expects Mark Wright to land more opportunities if he does quit The Only Way Is Essex.

The beautician left the ITV2 show after two series, choosing to appear on Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother. Since leaving, Childs has landed her own fly-on-the wall series and launched a fashion range.

Recent reports have suggested that Wright will follow his former co-star's example by pursuing opportunities outside of the programme, having allegedly agreed to take part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

"I don't think it's official yet but maybe it's something he's thinking about once this series is over," Childs wrote in her New magazine column. "I loved my time on TOWIE, but leaving has given me so many more opportunities, and I think that will happen for Mark, too."

The 21-year-old also backed her cousin Harry Derbidge's call to be given a more prominent role within the cast.

"I don't blame him, he's hardly on it," she said. "Harry has so many fans and people want to see him. He also told me that he has a new fella, Kurt. I've not met Kurt, but I'm going to have a night out with them soon."
