The reality star has allegedly been banned from filming following a rant about having her scenes at a party on Sunday (April 22) delayed.
"Lauren was screaming at a producer and being a right diva, saying the programme treated her appallingly after her scenes kept getting pushed back," a source told The Sun.
"The producer told Lauren she wouldn't speak to her while she was in that state. Lauren then threatened to quit, saying she was the star of the show and would go to MTV where her and her sisters would be the new Kardashians."
Other insiders have said that Goodger, who turned up late to filming on Sunday, will not appear in any more episodes until her representatives meet with TOWIE bosses.
"The cast and crew have had enough of the way Lauren is acting," they said. "If she wants to quit she should. Nobody is bigger than the show."
A TOWIE insider confirmed that they are "looking into" the incident.
Filming of the fifth series has already been thrown into chaos due to Jessica Wright's refusal to appear with Goodger.
The Only Way Is Essex continues tonight (April 25) at 10pm on ITV2.
