Essex denied that he would follow in the footsteps of co-stars Mario Falcone and Lucy Mecklenburgh by getting engaged in front of the cameras, saying that such a public gesture "wouldn't mean as much".
"[The proposal is] gonna be adventurous and interesting," he told Star Magazine. "I'd want it to be just me and Sam, so no, I don't think I'd ever do it on the show. It wouldn't mean as much."
The couple also revealed that they have started thinking about having children, despite admitting that they can only "just about look after ourselves".
"I told Sam I'd love to make babies right now," Essex stated. "But we'll wait until Christmas. Our girl's gonna be called Minnie, obviously."
Faiers added: "He wants Joey Junior for a boy. We talk about it all the time."
Essex recently claimed that he and Faiers talk about marriage and children "literally every night".
Mecklenburgh, meanwhile, stated in a July interview that Faiers "tarnished" her engagement by spreading rumours that Falcone had cheated.
