Speaking to Digital Spy, the glamour model claimed that she "didn't have a clue" she'd be working with her former partner again until she watched his return on TV.
"It was a shock. I didn't even know," Pope said. "I was at home watching it with everyone else when I saw him come on screen.
"I think it's been good for the show... but obviously for me personally, it's not great to have him around.
"One of my friends fell off onto the floor [watching it] and was like, 'Oh my God'. My mouth was wide open, stunned."
Pope also stressed that the TOWIE cast welcomed Norcross back with open arms, despite critical comments he made about the show during his brief absence.
"He wasn't very complimentary of the show or any of the people on it after he left," she stated. "[But] everyone welcomed him back - maybe not me."
Pope went on to address the upcoming TOWIE live episode, declaring that she is "pooing [her] pants" about what might happen in the one-off special.
"[We] know people are gonna be sat on their sofas at home just waiting for someone to make a mistake," she said.
"It'll be the one time when people are more themselves than ever, because there's no editing. We're gonna be nervous... and there's gonna be a massive buzz, so we're all gonna be a bit hyper and I think we'll probably wanna say more stuff than we would normally because we know it can't get cut out."
On another of her one-time romantic interests - Prince Harry - Pope added: "Someone did say he watches it. I'd like to hope [I'm his favourite]."
The Only Way Is Essex returns Sunday (December 2) at 10pm on ITV2. The live episode airs the following day in the same timeslot.
