The final episode of series one saw Nathan discover he was immortal, but ended with him stuck in a coffin after being buried following a rooftop fall.
Executive producer Noward Overman admitted that he has read theories by fans about how the teen may escape, but refused to admit which were correct.
"There's been a lot of speculation online - some of it is right, and a lot of it is wrong," he told SFX.
The series premiere saw the five main teens hit by a freak storm which left them with various abilities. However, Overman has said that he will never give an explanation for how the storm affected them.
"We'll never give an explanation, that's an absolute no no," he told SFX. "What possible explanation could I come up with? It would just be bulls**t, though if someone has got a scientific explanation they can email it to me - I haven't got a clue!"
Overman also teased that the teens will "find out what it feels like to have different powers at some point".
