Lauren Socha has admitted that she was "completely shocked" to win a BAFTA.

The Misfits star picked up the 'Best Supporting Actress' gong at last night's British Television Academy Awards.

"I didn't see it coming," Socha told reporters. "I really didn't. I didn't get my hopes up - I was just honoured to be nominated again. So when they said, 'Lauren Socha', I was completely shocked."

Socha joked that the prize has trumped her upcoming 21st birthday but explained that she doesn't want to keep the gong herself.

"I want my agent to have it," she said. "I just don't want to be clumsy with it and leave it in a place where I don't know where it is. So [my agent's] office - that would be perfect."

Socha also revealed that playing Kelly in Misfits is "amazing", adding: "I can kind of relate to her when I was a teenager, being quite young and stuff. But she's brilliant, I love her. I love playing the part."
