3pm - 4pm
3.04 Alex and Alison join PJ Sophie and adele on the sofas. Still no sound and we see the sofas in longshot from the top of the stairs.
3.06 Lee is alone in the boy's bedroom. He wanders out and joins the others as Alex munches an apple and walks off
3.09 The sofa chat continues, still muted by E4. It is unclear whether Sandy ever came out of the diary room. He's not been spotted on camera since going in.
3.12 Alex is washing up in the kitchen. Spencer is up and about now and wandering around the kitchen. E4's sound technicians must be on a half day as the silence continues.
3.15 You live updater briefly switches to Discovery Home and Leisure to watch some paint dry and it's slightly more enthralling.
3.16 PJ still looks rough. The sound returns and Sandy emerges from the diary room after an age, having had a "wee chat"
3.18 Alison, Kate and Adele discuss movies such as Three Kings and Ali. The conversation turns to Muhammed Ali's intellect.
3.19 Alison's dad was Ali's bodyguard when he was in Birmingham. She has met him twice and he once showed her a magic trick. "He was a really generous man"
3.20 Kate stops the boxing talk by asking about Pink's new song, sparking a quick rendition from the sofa bound buddies.
3.22 Angela Bassett's body come under discussion as does her role in the Tina Turner biopic.
3.23 The film talk continues but the housemates talk over each other making much of it unaudible.
3.26 The convesation moves to a discussion on Tupac and B.I.G. Lee continues to fret that his biceps are shrinking. Much of the conversation is muted by the censors.
3.29 Sandy looks totally bemused by the conversation. He begins a story about some deaf people signing to each other but frustratingly we don't get to hear the rest of it.
3.31 Adele talks about an incident with sawn off shotgun at a Gospel event in the States when everyone had to lie on the floor.
3.32 Alison discusses a trip to the Apollo in New York and how scary it was.
The acts are booed with tomatoes thrown at them. Adele asks if anyone has seen the film Set it Off.
3.35 Lee says he has lovely "siesta". the question of lunch is raised. PJ wants to know when the nominees will be announced and he wants it over and done with.
3.37 PJ checks the rule book. Sophie says she came out of the swimming pool because all the lads were looking at her last night.
3.38 Sophie can't believe how much the housematrs sleep. Sandy talks about tribalism and clans and tartan.
3.39 Spencer wants to know how many clans there are. "To infinity and beyond!" says Sandy
3.40 The group exchange surnames. Spencer claims to be a Smythe before admitting to being a Smith. Alison does a passable impression of Davina.
3.43 PJ needs some energy or he'll fall asleep again.
3.45 Sophie hold sway telling the housemates what their star signs mean.
3.46 Jonny rechristens Sophie "Sceptic Peg"
3.47 Sophie explains the theory of astrology to an interested Jade.
3.48 Sandy's thoughts on moisturiser are muted by E4. Lee has gone back to bed. PJ think the group needs a task. They decide to test each other on gerneral knowledge.
3.50 Jonny asks what is buried beneath Wembley Stadium. It's a train apparently. Jonny is asked to spell chaos. He gets it wrong but Adele knows.
3.54 The rowdy impromptu quix continues with questions on chemical symbols
3.56 The group ponder the symbol of Silver. Alison thinks it's Si but she's wrong
3.57 Snakes and ladders sparks debate, as does the colour of blood
3.58 the group are nervous as they await the announcement of the nominations. Adele thinks there will be three up. Alison says she'll cry if she's up. Adele offers to eat her dinner if she's too upset
