4pm - 5pm
4.01 PJ asks the others whether any of them have got used to sitting in a certain position, as Kate checks to see if there's anything else in the 'Read Me' envelope and Jonny wonders if he'll get a strike if he just drops a couple of Malteasers through the divide; PJ reckons they'll 'so be checking for that'.
4.02 The birthday girl Sophie comes out of the diary room with the news that the housemates in the rich house will get a birthday treat from the storeroom soon; she wonders if she'll be getting a present from her mum, and also suggests that she might treat the poor housemates by doing a striptease for them.
4.04 Kate observes that she's 'so full up', and PJ wonders if they'll use the split house format next year; Sophie thinks it was implemented to cause rifts, but PJ thinks that living in the poor house won't affect him as much as it will others.
4.05 Lee asks Kate if she deliberate cut the bottom of the T-shirt she's wearing to show off her navel, but Kate reveals it was like that when she bought it, like the red England T-shirt she's been wearing.
4.06 Lee lays on Sophie on the sofa; she wonders what surprise she's going to have for her birthday, as Lee asks her whether she asked BB for any more details on it. Lee also says that he's not touching his bar of chocolate until he really needs to eat it.
4.08 Sophie tells Kate that she forgot to empty the bath, as she was unsure how the plug worked in it. Lee also tells Sophie that he thinks she'll be the only one who gets a treat, as the whole heaven/hell situation would be imbalanced if everyone got one; Sophie reveals that she used to work as a waitress in a TGI Friday restaurant.
4.10 PJ is also interested in what Sophie's going to receive as a treat, as he sits with his hands behind his head by the dining table. Jonny suggests that she could be getting 'a box of fags and a bar of chocolate' which he will be the first to nick, as Lee tells PJ that he generously left him some chewing gum by his bed. He also questions that no-one will be watching E4 now with the World Cup on today, and wonders what will be shown on the TV screen in the rich bedroom; PJ reckons it'll be a film of some sort.
4.12 Spencer wonders if the rich housemates will be given the chance to buy a swingball set or rent a pool table, which Lee reckons will cost £150 a week; 'that would be so wicked', he says, as Sophie suggests it'd have a better effect if there was only three people on each side of the house.
4.16 Lee states that he hopes they'll have 'better weather than this' soon, as it's pouring down outside. He asks PJ if he had an outside shower this morning; he only had a wash in cold water, which left him surprisingly refreshed. Spencer asks Lee what time he could do the 100m in now; he reckons he'd be slow now as he's carrying excess body weight, but had a best of 10.9 seconds. PJ tells the story of a guy at his old school who didn't train at all but managed 10.5 seconds; he himself had a best of 12.5, with Spencer about the same.
4.18 PJ tells Lee that British sprinter Mark Lewis-Francis comes from his local athletics club, and another decent British sprinter Daniel Caines went to his law school; he does also say that he isn't really interested in athletics though, but tells Lee the story of Caines, who had to give up his law course twice after he rose through the British athletics ranks, but said that he didn't really need it after getting £100,000 from Adidas. PJ also says that he's a nice bloke too.
4.21 The discussion moves onto how much sportsmen get paid, but Spencer states that he doesn't think footballers are overpaid as it's a case of 'supply and demand' and also says that they work so hard to be the best player they can be; 'it's not like they do nothing', he says.
4.23 Spencer, who's sitting between the bars with one through the middle of his legs, sings 'Supersonic' by Oasis; PJ hums along with him. Sophie asks Sandy if he's 'alright'; he thinks they should spray the bottle of champagne they get Formula 1-style, as Lee asks him and Spencer if they like Carling.
4.25 Sophie plucks one of Lee's eyelashes, which she can't initially get hold off as 'it's covered in glitter'. Sophie also tells him that she wants to go to the toilet, but was initially wary as the microphones would pick up every little (or big) sound made there.
4.26 PJ and Sophie talk about how the cameras are differently positioned in the toilets, as Spencer continues to sing and stamp his feet in time. Sandy has gone to the rich bedroom, to have a lay down and think.
4.28 Lee asks PJ and Spencer how many albums Oasis have brought out; 'four' comes the reply. He also asks them if they've brought a new one out, as Sophie tells him that the sleep she had last night was the 'best one I've had in years'. Spencer, meanwhile, asks Kate what her favourite track from the last Oasis album is; she chooses 'Little James' but points out that every track on the album is 'pukka', as she sings 'Sunday Morning Call' while she puts a new bin liner in the dustbin.
4.30 Jonny, who's laying down on the sofa, asks Sophie if she's had her birthday treat yet, but doesn't think it might be all it's cracked up to be. Kate and Spencer talk, and Kate puts on his khaki baseball cap as they continue to sing Oasis songs; she also wonders where all the glitter's coming from as she's picked up some on her hand.
4.33 Kate goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth, but is quickly called to the diary room by Big Brother; Jonny thought BB would ask 'would Spencer please change the song?'.
4.37 Kate asks Spencer to give her his hat again, but Spencer says that he can't as he's unable to pass things through the bars, and doesn't want to get into trouble nor does he want it to be confiscated. Jonny says that the BB producers have got them right where they want them, and they should revolt and riot; Lee thinks that something along those lines occurred in a foreign BB competition, but PJ says that BB would punish them severely if they went on strike.
4.39 Jonny suggests that all five housemates should stand at the bars and swap items over quickly, so Big Brother won't know who's doing what. He also thinks they shouldn't go the diary room if they're called, and shouldn't swap sides of the house if they're requested to do so; he also wonders if Spencer would get a strike if he sneezed some of his tobacco through to the other side of the house.
4.41 Spencer asks why none of the other poor housemates have told him that his flies are undone, and Jonny also teases Sophie about her closeness with Lee; 'he's an attractive guy, but no', she says, as Lee and Jonny try to make something out of the fact that she's been swapping beds to get closer to Lee every night.
4.42 Kate is working out with Lee's assistance; as she lies down, he holds her left leg in an upright position and stretches it out, and her ankle too. 'Getting much better; good flexibility in there', he says as he gives the same treatment to her right leg. Spencer, meanwhile, gets some tobacco out of his pouch to make some more roll-ups.
4.45 Kate moans agonisingly as Lee stretches her calf to maximum; 'that is painful', she observes. Lee's next fitness routine is to stretch her arms out as far as possible for a period of fifteen seconds.
4.46 Jonny pokes his head through the bars to watch 'Spanky' making his roll-ups; he calls his mound of tobacco 'Spanky's little compost heap'.
4.49 Spencer has put his khaki hat back on; PJ tells him that he bets he'll leave the cap in the house when he leaves, as Spencer goes to the diary room. Jonny wishes that he kept a couple of his 'emergency fags' back yesterday, as he's desperate for tobacco; it should be classed as a 'medical condition', he says, as Kate reveals that the rich housemates' shopping list may not be completely delivered as some of the items didn't have prices next to them. Kate also reveals that they didn't buy any luxuries as they ran out of time.
4.52 Jonny also states his annoyance at the rich housemates' handling of the shopping list earlier, as they didn't plan any specific meals and the ingredients to make them, buying bits and bobs instead. He also thinks that some of the housemates dug their heels in over what they should've bought earlier.
4.54 Spencer wonders if Big Brother will provide the poor housemates with suncream, and calls the situation regarding the confiscating of the gravy from earlier 'ridiculous'. Spencer tells Jonny that he think he'd be able to survive without cigarettes, which Jonny says is more than he can do, and Jade asks Sophie if Big Brother has called her in about her birthday yet.
4.56 Kate is continuing to work out with Lee; she states that the leg raises are really straining her, as Lee asks her whether she used the special equipment gyms have for that type of exercise. Meanwhile, the next stage in her routine is to continually run up and down the stairs.
4.58 Sophie is called to the diary room; Lee cheers and Spencer again speculates on what she'll get for her birthday treat; PJ reckons that it'll just be an elaborate item of food, whereas all they'll get are a ropey sandwich and some poor quality cakes.
