8pm - 9pm
8.01 Lee asks Kate what the names of the members of Blue are (as she's singing their song 'Fly By') and also whether she would sleep with them. She says no, but she does state that she thinks Duncan is cute; Sophie also thinks Lee from the group is cute.
8.03 Lee notices that it's eight o'clock, and asks loudly 'when are we getting our things [won in the task]?'. Sophie also observes that she eats a lot, and Lee tells her how to wash up the tray properly; Kate also says that she loves the Blue song 'Too Close', but Sophie and Lee state that they think the original by Next is much better.
8.05 Sophie again wonders why Big Brother has not given them their 'sunshine' yet, and wonders what they will actually be given. Jonny takes the washing-up cloth from the sink, as Kate dances her way over to the kitchen still singing 'Too Close'; she also says that she loved their first song (as does Jonny), and starts singing 'All Rise'. Sophie, Jonny, Lee and Kate are, of course, the only housemates up and about as the poor ones are all sleeping.
8.07 Lee speaks about the R&B group Damage, saying that 'one minute they're singing girlie stuff, the next they think they're Jodeci'; Sophie tells him that they've been dropped by their record company and are looking for another, while Jonny tells Kate that the tea towels need to be washed fairly soon.
8.12 Sophie and Jonny wait for Lee to provide more wet plates for them to dry; 'can't get the staff these days', Sophie says, but Lee tells her that he's in no rush. He also observes that Sandy used to be best at washing up, while Jonny goes to, and returns from the diary room with two baskets for another battery change.
8.14 Sophie wonders if the poor housemates will only be given a pool table for an hour 'or something evil like that', but Lee thinks that they'll be given it until 10am tomorrow morning, which was the case with the accessories provided for his birthday party. Kate takes a check on how many bottles of wine and beer the rich housemates have remaining, while Jonny puts a spare sausage back into the freezer; Kate also opens a bottle of red wine and pours glasses for everyone, noticing 'they're quite large glasses, aren't they'.
8.17 PJ gets up, and immediately goes to the sink in the poor house to brush his teeth; the rest of the poor housemates are still asleep.
8.18 Lee again wonders if Big Brother could show the housemates the rest of the England match or the Lewis-Tyson bout; Sophie says that she doesn't mind if she doesn't get to see them, as she would much prefer a hug from her mum and dad, but not from Lee, she says; 'you're not a very good liar', Lee says to her. Sophie also tells Lee that she's rather upset by the fact that her dad has never said he's proud of her, and Lee says that he's proud of her saying that she would gladly get into bed with him.
8.21 Lee observes that the 'poor people kip hard', and tells PJ that it's twenty past eight and they haven't been given the pool table yet. Sophie also tells Lee that his dad may be expecting him to leave the house soon; he tells her that 'I'm a very sexual man' a la Eddie Murphy in Changing Places.
8.23 Big Brother calls for all the housemates to return to their respective bedrooms, which Lee rightly deduces will be for the pool table to be moved in. He also wonders if the rich housemates will get sunbeds, as Jade wakes up; PJ tells her that he wouldn't be surprised if it was a 'shit pool table', and she tells him that she's 'so hungry'.
8.25 PJ says that he's 'absolutely freezing', and speaks directly into his mike for BB to turn the air conditioning off. He also says that he cannot wait to get into the rich house, and if he does, he will have a fry-up with ten sausages, two fried eggs, beans, fried bread and chicken; he'll also eat the whole hamper and the basket if he gets into the rich house on Saturday night.
8.30 In the rich bedroom, Kate looks at Jonny's photos; he tells her about a fireman friend of his pictured, who is about 36 and has three children, and other colleagues of his in the picture. She asks him why he and his colleagues are all laughing in the photo, while Lee asks Jonny about some photos he's looking at, which feature him and his sister in Greece; Sophie comes over to look, and notices how smart Jonny looks in one where he's wearing a tuxedo. They also spot a photo in which Jonny is standing next to Tony Blair before he became Prime Minister.
8.33 In the poor bedroom, Adele puts her black top on, and Spencer tells Alex and PJ that he enjoyed getting up at five o'clock this morning, even though it meant a longer day for him. Alex asks him if he therefore saw the chickens being let out; he did, and it freaked him out, while PJ and Adele wonder what they'll have for dinner. Adele thinks they'll have to eat the spaghetti, and she states that eating a lot of carbohydrates makes you wee more; Alex also asks Jade if she was dribbling while she was asleep.
8.37 The housemates are let out of the bedrooms, and Lee notices that the pool table has been placed outside in the poor bedroom. Meanwhile, the rich housemates have been given their sunshine; namely some fake tan and shower and massage gels, which Lee is not at all impressed with. He'll put some on though, and Kate observes that 'this is good stuff', as Big Brother tells everyone that the hot water is now on and will remain so for the next two hours.
8.40 The poor housemates bring their pool table inside the house, and in the rich house, Kate notices that the products are the type she uses anyway, and she'll gladly use them now as she's become 'a pasty scrubber', in her words. Sophie is not impressed with the beauty products either as she's 'not into that kind of stuff', and Lee prepares to go into the diary room to request that he be shown the rest of the England match from yesterday.
8.42 Alex and PJ are the first to use the very smart pool table, although he has trouble finding where the white ball is; PJ sportingly lets him break, but he doesn't sink a ball, so PJ has a chance to clear up at his first visit. Alex also tries to establish how many shots are conceded in the result of a foul shot being played.
8.48 PJ tells Lee that he's 'hot', although he could be talking about his pool playing ability rather than temperature as he takes the first frame. Outside, Adele puts some more coal into the stove and bemoans the fact that 'people get up early and use everything', and inside, Jade puts the battery baskets into the diary room.
8.50 The rich housemates, or some of them, use the tanning make-up provided; Jade agrees with Sophie that the gifts provided are rather lacklustre considering the effort they put into the task, but she picks up some face scrub to use on Lee. Kate, meanwhile, is in the shower and will be using the fake tan afterwards; Sophie jokily suggests that Jonny and Lee put it on, and asks Lee to compare whether one of her hands with the tan on looks darker than the one without. She also tells Lee that he'll have to have a shower to wash the stuff off later.
8.54 PJ is still at the pool table, taking on Spencer, while Adele and Jade are outside; they briefly come inside to get more water, and are alerted to the fact that the pool table has a tilt making the balls run slightly crooked. Alex goes into the garden, and tells Adele that he'll take some of the coals off the stove to cook his bread; 'I've never made it before', he tells her.
8.57 Sophie is giving Lee a back-rub in the rich bedroom, and a fairly strenuous one at that; 'f***ing hell', he says, when Sophie gets a bit too vigorous on his back.
