9.03 Tim yawns, and he tells Jonny that Alex mentioned his problems to him last week, but not in as much detail as he did today; 'he's just getting tired of it', Tim mentions, and he says that the fact that there's only a few days to go are irrelevant as it doesn't ease the boredom. Jonny wonders why Alex can't get over the fact that he's lost people he was close to in the house, when it's happened to them all.
9.05 Tim says that Alex isn't being made happy by anything in the house, which he thinks is a fair point; Tim also reveals that Alex doesn't want to be made unhappier, which may be the outcome if he stays in the house any longer. Jonny wonders whether Alex will walk, and Tim tells him that maybe it is a good idea if Alex speaks to Jonny or Kate, who are being made happy in the house; 'there wasn't much I could say', he says.
9.07 Tim says that Alex needs to talk to someone like Brett who can see the bigger picture, and can impress upon him how little there is to go, whereas the rest of the housemates are in the same boat and won't have his insight on the whole situation. 'I can see why he feels the way he does', Tim says, as he says he gets very fed up at times, which impacts upon how he is in the house.
9.09 'The situation changes all the time', Tim tells Jonny; 'it changes to suit different people', citing the theoretical example of Jonny being stuck in the house with four Sandy's. Jonny also states that the ultimate bearing on whether Alex will walk will be whether Tim gets evicted; 'he'll be alright', Tim says, and states that he appreciates how close the show is to finishing, which hopefully Alex will see too.
9.10 Tim tells Jonny that Alex does have a good chance of winning, or will do if he lifts himself from the doldrums; 'hopefully Brett'll sort him out', he says. Jonny says that the BB experience 'plays havoc with people's minds', and Tim says the key to coming into the house is preparing properly for going in, which he doesn't reckon he did; 'I went in all guns blazing', he says, and also mentions that he didn't have the support of his friends and family which was a further burden.
9.12 Jade comes inside the house from the garden, and slowly makes her way to the toilet, as Kate puts some things away in the kitchen; she returns to the lounge as crowd noise is played into the house. Tim wonders why they can't play it at an ideal volume, as it's almost always too loud.
9.18 Tim says that even though his interest in being in the house is waning, he's not desperate to go; he says he knew he wouldn't win, but considers his achievement in beating everyone else to get to go into the house in the first place. He also tells Jonny he never thought about how far he would get anyway, and just wanted to prove to himself that he could be a success in the house; 'selfish', he says of himself, as Jonny notices that Tim has been into the house for five weeks.
9.20 Jonny reminisces about the song the housemates had to write and perform for Tim's arrival; 'that'll be on the DVD', Tim says, and he also tells Jonny if he goes on Friday night, he'll tell him every little bit about the outside world that he knew before coming into the house. 'I was gonna do that with PJ anyway', he says, and Jonny wonders if PJ's 'had a shag' by now; 'definitely!', Tim reckons, and also states that he's probably caught up with his family and with the football.
9.22 Tim hums the funeral march as Alex comes into the kitchen doing his shirt up; 'you look very smart', Tim tells him, and Jonny says one of his biggest regrets is bringing too much casual clothing into the house. 'You've brought some nice shirts, and all I brought were jeans and tops', he says to Tim; he also mentions that he had to leave all his best clothes behind as he couldn't get his case closed at all.
9.24 Jonny says he had to leave a load of short behind, and could only bring in some well-used ones; Tim says he had a load of his confiscated, and mentions that he's finding it really monotonous in having to wear the same clothes over and over again. Alex comes to the lounge, and Jonny tells him that BB made Kate take her skates off; he also mentions that he doesn't think the task will take place until Kate removes her pads.
9.26 Jonny wonders if he's done anything to embarrass his family or his partner outside, and also states that he'll go clothes shopping almost as soon as he gets out of the house, even though he doesn't like it; Tim says he can find clothes shopping enjoyable or a complete bore, depending on the circumstances. He also tells Jonny that he buys his shirts on the internet, and Jonny says he can't wait to dress smart when he gets out; 'of all the times to look your worst; on national television', he says.
9.28 Kate and Jade are outside; Jade tells her about her belly button piercing, which she had to have done twice and hurt a fair bit. She also invites Alex to 'party with us', and he eventually does decide to come outside; he sits on the broken lounger, and shows Jade his teeth for any further signs of wear. He also tells her about the advice given to him by the BB dentist.
9.30 Tim has moved to the kitchen to get himself some chocolate; he bemoans the large amount of it he's eaten today, as Jonny pokes his head around the bathroom door. He goes into the room after seeing that it's free, and Tim comes outside; Alex compares jewellery with him, and mentions that Tim is wearing the same chain that he wore before he went into the house. 'I had the same T-shirts as PJ', Tim mentions.
9.36 Outside, Jade tells Tim and Kate that it'll be a nice day tomorrow as it's a clear night, but Tim tells Jade that she's looking at cloud, rather than a clear sky; she also mentions that she thinks tomorrow will be nice as the sun and moon are out together, but Tim says that has no bearing on the weather. Alex also notices that the lights haven't come on outside yet, as Tim wonders whether they'll draw straws to see who gets grace to miss the roller-blading tomorrow morning.
9.38 Kate reckons she'll get up before nine tomorrow, and Tim says he's impressed himself by staying in bed until as late as three in the afternoon, whereas he's usually up by half nine at the latest at home. Jade says she can't sleep beyond 10am, and Alex points out what he thinks is a heron flying over the house, but Tim thinks it may be a goose; Kate tells Alex 'you know so much', as he mentions a bit of information about herons.
9.40 Kate is called to the diary room; 'yes!', she says, but turns down Jade's offer of lip gloss before going into the room. Tim hums the funeral march again, as Alex tells Jade he doesn't like being on 'edge' by having to take a chance on the klaxon not sounding before going to the toilet; Jade says she's been the same, and Alex tells her he doesn't want any lip gloss despite her encouragement.
9.42 Jade asks Alex if he sees himself walking; 'it's something I do every day', he jokes, but seriously repies 'no comment'. 'I don't think you should, as you've been here so long', Jade says, and after asking him whether he's happy, he again states that his 'tolerance mask is coming off' and he's not himself. He says that he's 'missing life' and is tired of doing the same things over and over again; he equates the situation to getting 'cold feet' before marrying someone.
9.44 Jade tells Alex that he looks like he's having a better time in the house than Tim, and she tells him that she told BB he does seem to have fun at times; 'that's just what I do to pass the time; I'm not a schoolkid anymore', he says. He also states that he's done a lot of things in the house he definitely wouldn't if he realised the cameras were on him; 'you're not boring or dull', Jade tells him, and he says he realises that.
9.46 Jade says she does find it funny in the house at times, and Alex attributes his difference to some of the people in the house to the fact that his lifestyle and work habits are completely different; 'I've only been having fun in here when I was pissed, and I don't like that', he says, and Jade states that he thinks Tim's being more reserved in the house than he normally is. Alex alludes to the fact that Tim's on his guard as he's got a reputation to uphold with regards to the job he's going back to.
9.52 Jonny is back outside; he says he'll have a shower a bit later tonight, as Alex states that BB has been forgetting to turn the hot water off at times. He also notices that there have been a few flies flying around the grotto during the roller blading; Tim tells him that the roller-blading ends at one o'clock this morning, as Alex talks to him about a model friend of his who comes from Afghanistan, and who lived in a cave until he was ten and fled to Pakistan when the Russians invaded.
9.54 Alex says that this model friend of his is a photographer and director as well, and he's making a programme where he'll be going back to Afghanistan to see how it's developed (or not) since the time he lived there; he also mentions that his parents were very happy as he got plenty of good qualifications and could speak Oxford English. For some reason, Live B shows a close up of the mirror ball in the grotto.
9.57 Alex is back in the bedroom, putting some gel in his hair, while Jade complains of some pains as she bends over outside; 'I shouldn't be doing this task as I've injured myself', she says, and also mentions that she'll end up with a 'massive bruise' by the time the task finishes. Tim tells her that BB has been kind and they haven't had to skate much; 'three more nights', he mentions, and also says he's going whether he gets called or not on Friday night.
9.59 Jade wonders why Big Red is crowing at this late hour; 'don't you start', she says, and tells Tim that Big Red has crowed 31 times today, as opposed to 24 yesterday. 'How bored must I be to count them?', she says, and considers that she may have only four days left in the house if the first eviction of the last week is on Monday. Tim says they may all go on Friday, and may not get much notice at all.
9.05 Tim says that Alex isn't being made happy by anything in the house, which he thinks is a fair point; Tim also reveals that Alex doesn't want to be made unhappier, which may be the outcome if he stays in the house any longer.
