4pm - 5pm

4.00pm: The majority of the housemates are outside under the outside; Ray, Gos, Nush, Cameron, Tania and Federico are there to name but six, and music is the current topic of dicsussion. Sissy says that she was paid £50 a day to go to a Siouxsie and the Banshees concert as an extra in 24 Hour Party People, while Federico talks about a song featured in Kelly's Heroes. Sissy wonders what time it is; 'why don't we check our watches?', Federico jokes before stating that his biorhythms are 'going crazy'. Cameron returns outside and trips on the patio step as he does so.

4.02pm: Sissy begins to hum the Mission Impossible theme tune with Nush as she wonders whether they could fashion a frisbee from something; Sissy wonders how the chickens can reproduce if there isn't a male one in the coop, and she's told that they don't have sex in there. 'The chickens are getting laid!', Ray jokes as Sissy wonders how hard the chickens have to strain to get their eggs out; 'how comfy are these bean bags?', she says as Cameron looks through the welcome pack, while Anouska comments on an actor we don't get to hear the name of.

4.04pm: Federico puts his hand to his face to block out the sun as both sound feeds get dipped; Scott yawns as Gos mentions that Missy Elliott sleeps in a bed made to resemble a Ferrari, while Tania comments that Robbie Williams' house has a 'bling bling' factor to it after it was shown on MTV Cribs. Gos mentions that basketball players have the best and most sophisticated houses, as do the current breed of young US rappers.

4.06pm: Tanya gets up to go into the house.

Peter Sibthorpe has got in touch to say "House looks too sterile this year - doesn't have the same "house" feel as last year", which is particularly ironic given that this year's house was made to look more comfy and homely, although people were quick to liken it to something out of 'Star Trek' or 'Space 1999'.

Anyway, if you have any views on that or any other BB topic, get in touch by e-mailing us at the address above.

4.09pm: Steph comments that BB 'should be able to arrange' something for Anouska's family, although quite what that relates to is unknown; Anouska comments on one of the audition videos showing a guy sustaining cuts by having bits of card thrown at him. 'Those three mad guys', Sissy says before the sound is cut; she also mentions The People's Book Of Records, and Federico mentions the one where three contestants had to drink a 2litre bottle of sparkling water in the fastest time - with accompanying burps, with Gos mentioning the record where models walked down a catwalk with some toilet roll stuck in their knickers; talk then moves to Banzai, with Federico mentioning Lady One Question and Shake-y Hands Man.

4.13pm: 'Place your bets now!', Sissy says as Gos recites one of the sketches performed by Borat in 'Ali G in Da USAiii'; 'have you seen the way he shakes people's hands?', Federico says before reciting another Borat line about schnitzels with an almost perfect accent. 'A woman in the kitchen is like a man on stage', he says in his best Kazakstani, while Anouska mentions that she couldn't milk it up like he can. Cameron clarifies where Tania is, while Federico and Gos mention another Sacha Baron Cohen character; Bruno, with Gos particularly interested in a sketch he did relating to Madonna.

4.15pm: Gos and Sissy describe Bruno to Justine, with Federico mentioning Bruno's schtick of showing up the finest from the fashion world; strangely a lot of this is being censored when you'd have thought that C4 would be glad of the free publicity for their shows. Sissy takes another draw on her cigarette as Feed B shows a sleeping Jon and Feed A cuts the sound with Scott speaking.

4.17pm: Gos wonders if it'll be raining soon as Nush comments that the bean bags in the alcove are 'really comfortable'; the housemates exchange more memories of Ali G sketches as the sound is cut again, while Federico mentions Ricky Gervais from the Office; 'The Office is class', he says and adds The League Of Gentlemen to his favourites. Tania tells Nush that by nine o'clock this morning, she was woken up by the lights coming on in the bedroom; 'I couldn't bear to get out of bed', she tells Nush as the latter files her nails, seemingly.

4.20pm: Federico continues to rundown his favourite comedy lines by mentioning the '... making love to a beautiful woman' line from Swiss Toni and 'this month, I will be mostly wearing Dolce and Gabbana' from Jesse in the Fast Show; he exchanges comments of 'Scorchio!' from Steph as E4 take another commercial break. They still haven't mastered the way to separate conversations by fading different mikes yet...

4.22pm: After an extremely quick break, Sissy comments that she's never been to a beach abroad yet but has gone to Paris and Amsterdam; 'I'd like to go to Barcelona', Sissy says and Cameron comments that the Spanish city is 'lovely', while Gos goes into the diary room but only for a quick visit. Gos returns to a cheer as some of the girls discuss how many different items of eye shadow and nail varnish they were allowed to bring in. Sissy states that her chaperone told her to 'do the innocent urchin look' which is why she's wearing her hair in pigtails, while Anouska mentions that she can't draw to save her life when asked to draw a house by the BB psychologist.

4.25pm: Anouska states that she was asked to recollect her first childhood memory by the psychologists as the sound is dipped; 'you'll be interpreted as a bit of a weirdo', Justine jokes as Sissy comments that she had to virtually write an essay for the 28-page second application form which tired her writing hand out so much, she had to put a glove on. 'I told my family I was writing notes for work!', Sissy tells the others as Nush brushes her hair back. She also mentions that she didn't have to repeat anything in the second interview, as Justine and Nush mention the happy poses they had to make for the photos.

4.28pm: 'We had to stand in different ways for them to put us in the group photo without us having met', Sissy comments about the photo as Justine states that she didn't like having to put on a wide smile; she also wonders what one of the TV screens embedded in one of the inside walls is for, and Federico mentions that it's to watch people in the diary room for tasks like a few which happened last year. 'There is nowhere to hide', Justine points out before stating that she was like 'a rabbit in headlights' when she came in; 'I passed out at one point', she says as Federico comments that he was shattered last night.

4.30pm: The housemates begin to get up as they spot the storm clouds gathering overhead; some of them burst into the Oompa Loompa song as Federico comments that it's quarter past 4; everyone comes inside the house as Justine talks about getting changed, while Sissy proposes to do her make-up. 'How dare you!', Justine jokes as Anouska joins Tania at the kitchen; 'you could wear it as a dress with some high boots', Tania tells Anouska about the coat she's wearing as Cameron speaks to Jon in the bedroom.

4.32pm: Cameron tells Jon that everyone's come inside in anticipation of rain falling as Jon wonders when they'll be given a task to do; Gos starts a cushion fight with Anouska, Cameron and Sissy, with the latter two taking a tumble which makes everyone laugh as Tania smokes her cigarette. 'I threw that!', Gos says before telling Anouska 'look at the trouble you've caused!'; Tanya laughs as the housemates get some more bean bags and such to throw at each other.

4.34pm: 'Carry on, that was really fun!', Tania says as Gos wonders whether she's some kind of referee; 'it's like Gladiators!', he says as Ray gets involved until BB comes over the tannoy to announce that funiture cannot be moved. Gos wonders if it can be moved outside before stating 'I enjoyed that!'; he wonders whether they should move the outside furniture to a more enclosed part of the garden to keep the rain off, but Cameron states that he doesn't think it'll rain. Nevertheless, Ray goes outside to move some of the sun loungers.

4.36pm: In the girls bedroom, Steph shows Nush and Justine the different eye shadows she's brought in; 'I don't really understand [why I couldn't take some of mine in]', Justine says as she applies blusher to her face, while Steph comments that her chaperone bought most of her make up for her. Nush offers her make-up out to the other girls as Steph comments that she'll have to wash her hair soon, and has brought in some hair serum for that purpose. Justine continues to powder her face as Nush comments that she lives 'half with some friends and half at home', and did some filming at her mum's house in the middle of last week.

4.38pm: Tania returns to the kitchen as Jon states that he's grateful for the 'quiet time' he had sleeping; 'too much booze this week', he says as Sissy asks everyone whether they want to play the 'shop' game, where they just have to remember a list of shopping items. Gos is the first victim but gets allowed back in; Sissy starts the new game which goes frisbee, hairbrush, cricket bat, banana, apple (named by Cameron, funnily enough), packet of condoms (named by Scott, which raises a laugh), got a receipt (Federico's one), table...

4.41pm: ... a picture of the Queen Mum - which makes Gos suggest that it'll get complicated now - a stool, and Steph comments that she's forgotten already; she hasn't though, and the word she adds is dipped out. 'Ooh's abound from the housemates as Sissy only says 'picture of the Queen' but she gets through anyhow and adds Tampax to the list; Justine's word is blanked out. Jon adds 'God rest her soul' after mentioning the Queen Mum picture, forgets a little towards the end and racks his brains, but gets there eventually to add 'videotape' to the list.

4.44pm: Gos gets let off for saying 'tampons' instead of Tampax; he also stumbles on the end items but names 'videotape' and adds 'lampshade'. Cameron is next, but E4 take a commercial break (hopefully longer than the last one) before he completes his list.

4.49pm: Those O2 sponsors ads really are pathetic, aren't they? Anyway, it's back to the game with Sissy commenting that the 'game doesn't work like that'; Ray is trying to name the list, but Anouska abruptly tells him 'you're out' for thinking too long before taking over and naming 'tape recorder' instead of 'videotape'. The sound is dipped as Anouska wonders if the game will 'go on forever'; she tries very hard to think of one of the items; the housemates tell Cameron to stop giving clues as Sissy says 'ten seconds' before starting to count it down.

4.51pm: Anouska gives up after failing to remember 'sunglasses'; Scott is next as Nush comments on the state of the Queen Mum's teeth when she died, which makes her put her hand over her mouth in fake shock. Scott gets through, Tania is next and recalls the list too before adding 'plant' to the list; 'oh shit', Steph says as she tries to recall the list. She hesitates halfway through but manages to struggle through until she gets to 'toothpaste'; which she says in a funny voice that everyone tries to imitate. Nush tells Anouska that she's got some chewing gum she can have as Steph makes it through.

4.54pm: As Nush goes to get the chewing gum, Sissy is next to recall the list; she takes a long time to think of the end items as Nush returns and the sound gets dipped, but gets through and adds 'Bic Razor' to the list. Justine is up next as Feed A switches to an outside view of the house; a very relevant shot. Justine gets through to add 'a bar of soap' to the ever-growing list, which Gos has to remember next.

4.57pm: Gos stumbles his way through although Sissy isn't sure whether to accept his non-specific answer of 'razor blades'; he forgets the next word, guesses 'shaving foam' after Sissy tells him 'it goes with a Bic razor' and is out as the word is actually 'bar of soap'. Cameron is next and he bursts out laughing after Gos coughs, for some unknown reason.

4.59pm: Cameron recalls the list and adds 'book' to the list, which leads to more imitations after he says it in a Scouse accent.
