10am - 11am
10.00: Steph is making porridge for herself and Sissy. Cameron doesn't want any but he doesn't have any choice as Steph serves some up in a dish for him. "You need three meals a day you know" says Steph. "I don't think I do" says Cameron looking at his waistline.
10.04: The porridge eaters got outside to scoff their breakfast and discuss the merits of porridge. "Oats are the only thing proven to reduce cholesterol" says Cameron. "I never understand why people say "Euuughhh" at porridge says Steph.
10.07: Sissy is worried about losing the Cub Scouts task. "It only takes one person to forget one thing..." she says. Cameron and Steph go inside to wash up after breakfast. Sissy lies on one of the beanbags in the garden and goes to sleep.
10.10: Scott is awake but he's not getting out of bed. Steph goes outside with the task laminates to revise some of the things they have to learn. Federico, Ray, Gos, Nush, Tania and Justine are still asleep. Cameron is wandering around the house reciting "I promise that I will do my best, to do my duty to got, to save the queen and help other people and keep the cub scout law". "Very Good!" shouts Steph from the garden.
10.15: Jon is out of the bathroom and he Steph and Cameron discuss the difference between the Cub salute and cub promise. Sissy goes back to bed "I'm not a good riser" she says "See you all later".
10.18: Cameron is singing McCartney's "No more lonely nights" as Steph tries to recite the Cub Scout promise. Jon goes off to get dressed. Federico rolls over to reveal that he's slept in his Cub Scout uniform.
10.22: "I promise that I will do my best...er...I promise that I will do my best..." says Steph over and over. Jon is back, and like Steph and Federico, he's decided to dress in his uniform. Steph's trying to remember the name of the Cub Scout packs. Cameron says the "Akiela" sounds like "Ikea".
10.27: Jon, Steph and Cameron are sat on the sofa learning their task in parrot-fashion. Jon is murmering "Founded, Jamboree, Toggle" over and over and over again. "Oh...we've got a whole two days of doing this..." sighs Steph.
10.31: Jon is now sat alone in the garden reciting "16 founded, 17 conference, 20 Jamboree, 23 Woggle, 35 Wolfs Cub Annual, 49 Bob-A-Job, 50 - Confernce...68 Prince Andrew...68 Prince Andrew.....". Inside, Steph still can't get the Cub Scout Promise right.
10.35: Cameron points out that 6 year olds are better at reciting things than adults. "And they don't have to learn it in three days!" says Steph. Don't forget the motto "Be Prepared!" says Cameron Outside, Jon is still learning all the important dates in the Cub Scout history.
Meanwhile, BB fan Dave has emailed me to say "Good morning Emzi. Several of the lads seem tired today!" They're not tired Dave, they're just lazy little blighters!
10.41: Steph is confusing the Cub Scout promise, motto and law and it getting very annoyed with herself. Cameron hides a smile at her frustration behing the task laminate. Jon is still alone in the garden. He's having a conversation with himself about Cub Scout history.
10.45: Cameron is worried that they are neglecting the chickens. "There' a lot of staw left over". Steph reassures him that they are only supposed to clean out the chickens twice a week. The duo return to the task - reminding themselves why Cub Scouts wear a uniform.
10.49: Cameron has decided that it's time to put his uniform on. Steph wraps the tie around Cameron's neck and attaches the woggle. "I hate having thing around my neck" sulks Cameron.
10.54: Battery change. Cameron changes batteries for the sleeping boys, Steph for the sleeping girls.
10.58: Battery change over and the reciting on the Cub Scout rules and laws goes on into mid-morning.
