8pm - 9pm

 |  By
Hello again.

8.02pm: The housemates are all in and around the kitchen area, bar Jon, who's sleeping on the sofa; Steph points out that they have pepper to cook with today as Cameron reminds Scott that there are pancakes cooking under the grill. 'C'mon BB', says Ray as he waits for his three questions, while Scott jokes that Steph may be getting the cookery show instead of Gos; 'the Gos and Steph show', says Ray as Steph comments that dinner will be ready at quarter past eight. Ray asks for a drink and the sound is dipped as he swivels on his kitchen chair.

8.04pm: Scott tastes the salsa and states that it's 'nice' but could do with a little more salt; 'it's quite spicy but it's not like the one I made which was too spicy to eat', he says as Cameron goes outside and puts some glasses on the alcove table. 'It's nice to have simple salt and pepper', says Scott as the sound is dipped, while Cameron returns inside the house and gets a bottle of water from the fridge as Steph considers another ingredient to put into the salsa; the sound is dipped on both feeds as Ray looks at an Old El Paso mix sachet.

8.06pm: 'These vegetables don't have to go into the sauce until the very last minute', says Steph as Scott proposes to brown the onions off first, then the peppers; 'it's a nice meal, this', says Scott as Steph asks for a pepper grinder to season vegetables which seem to be soaking under the kitchen tap. Cameron gets some cheese out of a polythene bag and a grater to grate it with as Steph wonders how soon Jon will wake up; 'get every last bit out of that', she says as she empties a jar of mayonnaise.

8.08pm: Jon gets up and Scott tells him that it's Tuesday; 'you've slept your way through the week', Steph says before giving Ray the jar of mayonnaise to lick clean. 'You couldn't have that on its own', he tells Cameron as Steph gets some cheese to add to the dish; Ray tells Steph that her 'flower thing' has fallen over, while Scott cooks the vegetables in a wok and states that he's 'taken order' in the kitchen as Steph wonders how many fajitas she should make. 'We'll say three each and come back for more', says Steph as Cameron points out that there are only enough for three each anyway.

8.10pm: Ray and Scott both propose to buy a wok when they get out as Steph mentions that she'll cook some of the Quorn too; 'look at the colour of that', says Scott as he continues to stir-fry the vegetables with Jon noticing that there are some courgettes in the mixture. He and Cameron look at the cooking from their kitchen stools as Cameron grates some more cheese; 'you don't want them to go too soggy as they're nice crunchy', Steph tells Scott about the vegetables.

'Lil K8' says: "i think scott should win as he has a great personality and he's fit!!! does he remind ne1 else of robbie williams tho?" Erm, can't say I've noticed the resemblence...

8.16pm: Steph tells Scott to put his chicken in the pan; he does so and stirs it around with the stir-fry vegetables as Ray hums to himself on the kitchen stool. Steph puts the cheese back into the fridge as Cameron says 'mmm mmm MMM!' upon taking a look at the stir-fry; he tells Steph that the ideal way to serve fajitas is to toast them as he wonders if there's anything he can take outside; 'Alcohol', says Scott before commenting that he's had to put some more labels onto the brand names as they fell off earlier. Cameron takes some wine outside as well as the cider.

8.18pm: Steph states that she 'stinks of cooking' as she takes a plate out to the alcove table; 'please don't fall over', she says as Cameron mentions that the stir-fry 'smells nice'. Scott is amazed by the amount of steam coming off the stir-fry before commenting that they've ate well apart from one week; he continues to stir the chicken and vegetables and tells Steph that he's turned the temperature down. Steph asks for some salt and pepper to take outside before burning herself on the side of the pan.

8.20pm: Jon looks on as Scott continues to stir the contents of the wok; 'look at me, bit for me mouth, bit for the pot', says Steph as she eats some cheese, while Scott comments that they don't need to cook some wedges too as Steph proposes to change her top. 'I might stick a trakkie on if it's cold', says Scott as Cameron states that he's going to wear his fleece outside; Scott is told that Ray is in the bedroom as Cameron tells Steph to leave the potatoes cooking. 'They been in ages, though', she says.

8.22pm: Steph walks around the kitchen as Scott wonders whether they could all be called in the middle of the night to answer their task questions; 'I'd love to see Ray's face if that happened', says Cameron as Scott puts the chicken and vegetables into bowls. 'We don't even have to use the onions at the bottom', he says as Steph takes the fajitas from the oven; Ray comes back from the bedroom and mentions that he'll put his top on outside 'just in case' it's cold. 'Pleasure again cooking with you', Scott tells Steph as everyone comes outside with their plates.

8.24pm: 'I need a quick wee', says Steph as Scott asks Ray to get the bottle of Ribena and a glass of wine for his cider; 'I'll drink cider instead of wine this evening', says Scott before asking for the box of wine and pouring Stpeh a glass. Jon decides to stick with beer as Steph and Ray come back outside; 'this is one of my favourite teas', says Cameron as Scott calls Steph a 'guest' and Ray pours some cider for himself. Scott asks for wine as Ray mentions that the dinner 'looks too nice to eat'; Jon tells Cameron to start as the latter realises that there are still some fajitas to get from the oven.

8.26pm: 'This salsa looks brilliant', says Jon before stating that the proper way to eat fajitas is 'to get as much down your front as possible'; everyone begins to overload their fajitas with the chicken, vegetables and salsa as Steph comments that she's made the big error of filling her fajita from the middle first. 'I don't think my fajita will be possible to fold over', says Scott as Ray comes back outside with some more of them; 'I think you're supposed to fold the corners in first', says Scott as Steph compliments the way Jon has folded his fajita.

8.28pm: Steph mentions that Scott's fajita has 'gone to pot' as he struggles to fold his into a cylindrical shape.

Mark Stimpson takes issue with those who decide their winner on appearance: "The whole point of watching big brother for 9 weeks is to develop a view on someones character and vote for them to win because you feel they are better than the others personality wise, rather than looks? i can understand someone saying he is a nice guy, gets on well with everyone, is helpful and funny and wanting scott to win for that, but voting someone to win for there looks is pathetic and misses the whole point of bb" Not that this BB has seemed to have much of a point, of course...

8.32pm: Ray eats his massive fajita as the sound is dipped, while Scott takes a swig of his beer and Jon puts some salsa on another fajita, followed by some sour cream; 'I've gone too far this time', says Cameron as he tops his fajita, while Steph asks for the jalapenos and Scott mentions that 'this is a lovely meal to have'. The sound is dipped as Jon burps, while Cameron eats his fajita and Steph asks him to pass the cheese; 'we should have a spinny table', says Scott as Steph mentions that her next fajita will be 'monstrous' in size.

8.34pm: Jon states that he's had 'a bad experience' with jalapenos and is 'not very good with hot stuff'; he carefully puts some onto his fajita as Steph mentions that they may not be that hot due to the time they've been soaking in vinegar. 'You've got your glass of water there anyway', says Steph as Jon eats his jalapeno and mentions that the aftertaste is getting him; he takes a large swig of beer as Steph comments that her sister can eat loads of them. 'No, I can't handle them', says Jon as Ray asks for the cheese; Scott mentions that he will build the next wrap as big as he can.

8.36pm: 'When you've had a big one it's easier', Steph tells Scott in a double-entendre fashion as the latter notices that they've got more mix that they need; 'we'll manage to eat it somehow though', he says as Cameron proposes to have it in an omelette. He tells Ray that they'll have chicken caesar salad tomorrow as Steph mentions that they could also make canapes, while Scott notices that his fajita looks nice 'in appearance'; 'if you go out and have pitta breads it costs a fortune', says Steph before commenting that she used to go to a place called Jefferson's to have them.

8.38pm: 'The nachos there were home made and tasted so much different to the ones in the shops', says Steph before commenting that shop nachos 'are like crisps'; she asks Jon if he was in the house when Ray had a nacho tantrum and smashed them to smithereens. Ray tells Jon the full story of getting Dorito's Dippas back instead of Dorito's as the sound gets dipped; 'two days before I asked for Dorito's, three days went past and I got the same crisps in the same packet!', he says as the sound gets dipped again. Cameron piles up another fajita.

8.40pm: Ray states that BB told him that the chips his got were the ones he ordered as Jon states that he'll 'look forward to seeing it'; Scott comments that he won't put any salsa onto the next fajita. 'That'll make it terribly bland', says Cameron as the sound gets dipped; Scott bemoans a bad experience he had with a tortilla which had a split in it, making the juice seep through his fingers. 'I hate that!', says Cameron.

'Lil K8' comes back on Mark's point from earlier: "if you ask me its alrite 2 vote for someone on their luks as long as u hav otha more important reasons 2 back ur point!!!" What other important reasons do you have for liking Scott then? Barry asks: "when will the others will be called into the diary room for the task?" BB aren't revealing those details, I'm afraid.

8.46pm: Steph eats a fajita as Ray and Jon say 'Hay-sus' to mimic the Spanish pronouciation of Jesus; 'I think we were right getting two lots of these jalapenos', says Ray as Scott states that he left his jalapenos off. 'You eat like a woman!', jokes Ray as Cameron tells him to leave them off if he wants to; he points out that Spanish people always have to add 'E' to the beginning of words beginning with 'S' and tells Steph that Spanish people would pronounce her name as 'Esteph'. 'I didn't realise that', says Ray as Scott tries to name the three Baldwin brothers.

8.49pm: 'I'm sure one of them is married to Jennifer Connelly', says Jon, but Scott doesn't think so; the sound is dipped as Scott looks around the table for something, while Ray jokes that his legs are broken due to the odd position he's sitting in. 'That's a massive one - the new record', Scott says over Ray's fajita, while Cameron tells Scott that he's 'got a nice balance' to his fajita and it doesn't need any jalapenos; Ray tucks into his wrap as Cameron begins to whistle. Steph yawns and mentions that she feels 'a nice fullness'.

8.51pm: Steph goes inside the house to put a top on as Cameron puts some salsa on top of his potato cake; 'it tastes quite different without the jalapeno', says Scott as Cameron mentions that Jon's wrap 'looks like a cigar'. He puts his plate to his mouth to eat it as everyone looks up at a plane flying overhead, while Ray wonders what's the best way to eat his wrap before he wonders how they all managed to fit around the table when there were 12 of them. 'Oh to see them all again', says Ray as Cameron tells him that 'it won't be long' until he does.

8.53pm: 'I'm finished now', says Ray as Jon notices that he's having cider and black(currant); 'are you a student?', jokes Scott as Ray mentions the ingredients for snakebite. Cameron mentions a 'green monster' which is half lager and half cider as Steph wonders if pubs are allowed to serve snakebite; 'Edinburgh was full of them when I was a student', Cameron says before commenting that lager is only nice when it's mixed with someone else. 'I don't know what pleasure folk get out of drinking that', says Cameron as Jon jokes 'if it didn't say 5% on the outside I wouldn't touch it'.

8.55pm: Scott wonders if BB will call someone to the diary room for a battery change as the sound is dipped, while Cameron clears his throat and Ray is pointed to something between the tree at the far end of the house and the hose; 'it's all too quiet', says Ray and everyone is caused to sing Bjork's song of the same name. 'Is that plane coming in?', asks Steph as Scott sings 'Ain't No Doubt' by Jimmy Nail; he comes inside the house with a book to take to the toilet as Cameron begins to sing. Steph tells Ray that she'd be on her summer holidays at this point were she not in the house.

The Scott fan club is out with reasons for their man to win - Scott&Nush says: "Scott has done a lot for the house! He has a unique sense of humour that only a few get it seems, i love his sense of humour its great. He cooks for all the group, his there for them whenever there down especially Nush and Ray and even Fed, his always tries to stop events getting out of hand, his not a prude and gets involved with the drinking and games and overall he'd be great to go to the pub with as he seems a genuine guy u could talk to about anything with."

... while 'Lil K8' says: "i think he has a brillient personality, he's funny, he gets on wiv people and he seems 2 generally b an all round nice guy...i havent seen him go off in a rage like ray or burst in2 tears ova sumthin stupid like steph and he doesnt bore u like cameron!!!" Anyone else like to stick up for the other three finalists?
