Dale triumphant after karate chop success

Karate class member Dale screamed out in triumph tonight after he smashed a plank of wood into four pieces with his bare hands.

Housemates, who were lined up on benches to watch the task, had been told to observe total silence as he prepared mentally for the challenge.

Bells were played as Dale visualised the task ahead. He then raised his arm and sent the wood flying into pieces with one almighty chop.

He screamed out "yes, yes" as the other housemates cheered and rushed to hug him.

Darnell said he had tears in his eyes as he watched, adding that Dale had "destroyed" the plank.

Following the task, Alexandra asked if Dale's hand was hurt. He admitted it was a little sore so she fetched some ice to ease the pain.
