DS:BB News Extra - Day 28 #1

Published Thursday, Jul 3 2008, 01:15 BST | By Catriona Wightman
The latest news snippets and gossip from the house...

  • Jennifer and Rebecca were annoyed with Big Brother because of their part in the task. Jennifer told Stuart that in the Diary Room that she's given BB "the look of death", while Rebecca had rubbed herself against the chair, walls and carpet to pass on the fishy smell. However, Big Brother was unimpressed and called Rebecca back to clean the room.

  • Dale was disgusted when Jennifer said: "My tash area is so itchy." She protested that she didn't have any hairs there, except for a few subtle ones, but Dale repeatedly shrieked with revulsion. Jennifer pointed out that everyone has hairs on their upper lip, but Dale responded: "Don't say 'tash', it makes me think of Tom Selleck." However, Jennifer replied: "I love Tom Selleck."

  • Following this week's shopping task, Michael suggested that Rebecca's first appointment outside the house would be opening a seal enclosure. "It's the one thing you'll be offered," laughed Stuart. Rebecca said she would be happy to do it, but wouldn't dress up as a seal. "I bet you would," said Stuart, and she agreed that she would if Jennifer did.

  • Mario and Lisa discussed Kathreya at length in the garden during the afternoon. The couple agreed that they very much like her but Mario admitted that the constant cries of "cookie" were starting to wear thin. "I mean, she's 30," he said. Lisa admitted that she wasn't sure of Kat's motives and Mario said: "Well, she ain't no shrinking violet. She's done acting and she's certainly worldly."

  • Bex, Rachel, Lisa and Kat were "disgusted" in the morning when they discovered that someone had spat in the sink and not washed it down. "Who would do that?" Rachel asked, having originally believed the saliva to be a piece of green soap. Bex said that she didn't know but that she felt sick.

  • Rachel and Kat took offence when Rex told them that they had been given the easiest animals to play in the task. "Just you try it for two days, mate," Rachel said. Rex then laughed at the pair, saying that they still did not have the hang of walking in the llama suit.

  • Luke admitted that he had asked Big Brother for the luxury of a screening of The Jungle Book instead of a meal or alcohol. Rebecca did not seem impressed, but when he told the group later, saying they could "lynch" him if it happened, the film was a popular idea. "Oh, well you can praise me then," he said.
