Darnell: 'I like the divide'

Although Rachel and Kat were in agreement that they hate the divide and want it to come down straight away, Darnell finds it interesting in terms of the way people chose to exploit it.
He stated: "If I'm still here I want this to stay. I think it's cool." However, he did admit that he hated some of the things that "have happened because of it". Rachel predicted that it would come down after another week, but Darnell thought that it would stay up a lot longer.
Commenting on the changed dynamics of the house, he opined that some people were using the divide to reinforce a split in the house. "It's a challenge mentally. They use it to do what they want to do. They use it as an excuse not to talk to people," he said.
Rachel, Darnell, Kat and Mohamed all agreed that many of the housemates in Heaven chose to sit far away from them, thus emphasising the divide more than was necessary. However, Darnell felt that Maysoon was an exception to this. "May comes and always chats. She sits close. Some people walk by and don't even say hello in here." Kat added that she has felt further and further away from the other housemates.
The four also thought that it would be interesting to see who would stay in the luxury bedroom and who would want to go back to B-block if the divide were taken down. Kat said that she used to have more fun in B-block than she did in Heaven, while Darnell decided that B-block "would never be the same" now that such a divide had formed in the house.
