Big Brother Obituary: Maysoon Shaladi

Maysoon Shaladi became the ninth housemate to depart Big Brother after she walked on Day 56.

The 28-year-old model entered on Day 30 alongside Sara and Belinda and was immune from nominations during her first week.

On her second day in the house, she led Mario, Luke, Dale and Mo to victory in a paper bag ripping challenge, which won the team a party in the Diary Room.

The Hertfordshire contestant attracted attention from Mohammed during her first week, but cleared the air with him after the pair became confused about each other's feelings.

Maysoon was selected by Head Of House Darnell to be on the Heaven side of the divide, and remained there when Dale took over control.

She competed against Dale and Bex to become Head Of House, but gave up on the gorilla task after she heard that Darnell was deliberately putting himself in Hell.

The part-time beautician said on her VT that she wanted to prove that models are not "stuck up" or "self-centred". However, she was accused of being "indecisive" and "dull" by Stuart and Dale.

Stuart claimed that he could not trust Maysoon because she never gave her opinion on any matters in the house.

After failing to finish in the top four in the chilli-eating task, Maysoon was placed on the Hell side of the house.

Heaven housemates Stuart, Mikey, Rex and Mo watched her VT as a present from Big Brother on Day 54.

Rex was critical of the model, arguing that she pretended to be someone she is not on her video, but she responded that she did not need to defend her actions.

On Day 55, Maysoon was put up for eviction with eight other housemates for discussing nominations.

The following day, she announced to tearful housemates that she wanted to leave, but insisted that she had "enjoyed" her time on the show.
