Rex's girlfriend enters the house

Rex’s girlfriend Nicole has become the 21st contestant to enter the Big Brother house.

The 19-year-old blonde was placed in the store room with a tag labelling her as the house’s 57th 'ever-changing token' tonight after Big Brother delivered the other 56 ordered by her boyfriend on Thursday.

As the group ventured towards the store room, Rachel and Darnell rushed inside anticipating a new housemate. As they greeted Nicole, they remained unaware that she was Rex’s partner.

The Surrey student ran straight to Rex, with the couple embracing as he told the group that she was his girlfriend.

"Oh my God!" he exclaimed. "What the hell is going on?"

Nicole could be heard to whisper: "I’ve missed you!" in Rex’s ear.

She had earlier told Channel 4: "I'm very, very, very excited to be going in. It's a great opportunity, a great challenge. I want to support Rex, I miss him so much and I really, really want to see him."

However, as the footage cut back to the studio, Davina said Rex had seemed "unhappy" about tonight’s twist judging by his initial reaction on the live feed.

She also revealed that the new housemate will be exempt from this week’s nominations but is eligible to win the series.
