The latest news snippets and gossip from the house...
Footage joined Rex and Nicole as she repeatedly told him that she could not answer one of his questions. It appeared that he was asking her about the process by which she joined the house. After saying she could not talk about it, he asked if she had ever previously auditioned for the show. Despite this also being a taboo subject in the house, Nicole took offence to the question, telling her boyfriend: "You should already know!"
Stuart confessed that the only reason he was homesick was for his daughter, Mia. He chatted to Sara in the luxury bedroom about her, telling the Aussie that she had a tiny pink guitar and a karaoke machine. As he complained about missing out on "being a father", he resolved to not mention her again as he said the group now knew how he felt. The dad said he was not speaking about her to gain sympathy or provoke "an effect". Sara laughed at him, saying: "Yes you are!"
Rex told the group how Nicole once grabbed his birthday present out of his hands and opened it before he had a chance. He said: "The pictures of my excited face are at her opening it!" But Nicole quickly reprimanded her boyfriend, saying: "Don’t exaggerate! I only opened a little bit."
Rachel accused Mo of having a "poor me" mentality this afternoon after he had asked her why she hadn't said good morning to him. She told him: "People act like 'poor me' all the time, it's like they want constant attention all the time. You're hard work you are, mate, you're like a child." Mo laughed and Rex teased Rachel: "Do you think you're better than everyone now because you're head of the house?"
Rex asked Nicole to guess how old Lisa was this afternoon and she told him she thought Lisa was in her "mid-30s". Lisa admitted she was actually nearly 40 and Nicole gasped: "No way!" Lisa told her that she had "never really grown up".
Mikey told Nicole that he thinks it's "nonsense" when the rest of the housemates talk about the situation in the house all the time. Nicole agreed: "Why talk about the house when you're in the house? You've got so much to talk about, about what you've done in your life, that's more interesting."
Stuart admitted to Darnell that receiving a letter from his daughter had made being away from her "harder". He explained: "If I don't go this week, I think I'm going. I don't think I can wait that long." Darnell said the letter was one of the "realest", and Stuart said he still didn't know if he was being perceived in the right way. He added: "I'm trying not to think about it too much."
Kathreya was relieved that her family and her boyfriend were happy with her decision to enter the house after receiving her letter. She admitted that she had been "scared", and told Nicole that she was pleased she hadn't embarrassed her partner. "I think if anything will come out in the news or the paper it's probably out by now, and he can accept that," she smiled.
Michael was chuffed to receive his letter and asked Nicole to read it for him again. As she did, she paused to ask questions about the people in it and his cat. "I can't believe they're watching the show," he cringed, but she laughed that he couldn't expect them not to. When she had finished, Nicole told Michael she would read the letter to him whenever he wanted. He later decided to keep it in his shirt pocket so it would be next to his heart.
Mohamed asked Rex to speak to Big Brother after Mikey stood on a nail in the living area. Mo said it was dangerous and should be fixed, adding that he stepped on one in the same area yesterday.
Rex told Nicole that he was proud of her for integrating into house life so well. He said she had settled in quickly and was coping well without her suitcase. He added that his letter from home had reassured him that everything was well with his family and their business.
Nicole was told that she was nearly presented with a cigarette lighter costing £300. Rex said he had seen the item in a London jewellers and had thought of buying it as a gift. He said the lighter was silver and studded with diamonds. Nicole said it was pricey for a lighter and that she would have felt dreadful if she had lost it. Rex then admitted that he has a solid gold lighter at home worth £1,700.
