Nicole's eviction boosts BB ratings

The 9pm show, which included the eviction result and the latest house highlights, averaged 3.81m (17.8%) for the hour. The later eviction show, broadcast from 10.35pm, brought in 3.14m (18.6%), a rise from the 2.77m (17.4%) who tuned in for Stuart's interview last week. The two shows had respective audiences of 145,000 (0.9%) and 156,000 (2%) on Channel 4+1.
Sandwiched between Big Brother, comedy sketch series The Kevin Bishop Show had 1.88m (9.4%). A Place In The Sun: Home Or Away had earlier averaged a disappointing 1.21m (5.9%) in the 8pm hour.
Richard and Judy's final show for Channel 4 went out with a whimper, averaging just 1.5m (12.6%) at 5pm. It was comfortably beaten by The Weakest Link on BBC One, which had 2.48m (20.1%) from 5.15pm.
Coronation Street regained the lead over EastEnders, drawing audiences of 7.58m (39.9%) at 7.30pm and 7.21m (34.2%) an hour later. The BBC soap had 7.23m (36%) at 8pm, but added a further 493,000 (2.8%) through its later repeat on BBC Three.
Emmerdale managed 5.85m (33.7%) at 7pm, while on BBC One, Olympics highlights show Games Today put in 4.5m (24.7%).
Post-'Enders, BBC One's audience slowly slipped throughout primetime. DIY SOS retained 3.47m (16.4%) at 8.30pm, then Would I Lie To You? had 2.71m (12.6%). By 9.30pm only 2.28m (10.7%) were left to witness The Armstrong and Miller Show. ITV1 had a solid 3.97m (19.7%) for its two-hour Poirot repeat from 9pm.
BBC Two maintained a reasonably steady audience throughout primetime, starting with 2.13m (10.4%) for Gardeners' World in the 8pm hour. The Tudors had 1.87m (8.7%) at 9pm, then QI amused 1.74m (8.7%) from 10pm.
Five started with 791,000 (3.8%) for Superstars then grew to an all-day peak of 1.44m for NCIS (6.7%) at 9pm. Law & Order: SVU interested 962,000 (5.1%) in the 10pm hour.
Another interview with Nicole helped Big Brother's Big Mouth to 413,000 (4%) on E4 at 11.05pm.
ITV2 had success with its 7pm repeat of The X Factor, drawing 291,000 (1.9%). The Xtra Factor had 240,000 (1.4%) at 8pm, with an admirable 172,000 (0.9%) on ITV2+1. Movie City Slickers attracted 287,000 (1.7%) between 9pm and 11.15pm.
