Darnell, Rachel and Mikey get their gifts

Three further housemates were issued with gifts from Big Brother this afternoon.

Darnell was given an iPod to listen to, Rachel was given grapes, and Mikey received smoothies and chocolate.

The present-giving came after Kat was issued with an overflowing cookie jar this morning, while Rex got some vintage champagne. Lisa’s present was the arrival of her boyfriend Mario with an engagement ring.

All three housemates shared their gifts, with Rachel noting the quality of the grapes she had been given. "Whoever has picked them up, it was a really good choice," she told Kat.

Darnell was initially reluctant to enjoy his present as he said he could not share it. However, he was told by Kat, Rachel and Sara that he could either give an earpiece to someone else, or sing what he heard for them to enjoy. The group soon got bopping along to the tunes Big Brother had selected.

When Darnell was told to return the iPod some time later, Sara shouted: "That was the best ever."

She went on to say that it felt like she had already received her gift as one of her favourite songs was on the music player. "Oh, gee, what a day. It is all happening," she gushed.

Mikey beamed from ear to ear as he returned from a visit to Big Brother with smoothies and chocolate. Having shared his treats around, he settled on his bed and lay back, sighing contentedly: "This is good."
