Rex talks to imaginary friends

All the other housemates went to the Diary Room for a mid-party chat with Big Brother, but Rex stayed alone outside.
As they went off, the restaurateur sighed, saying: "It actually feels normal in here."
He poured himself a glass of cider, propped his feet upon the table and started chatting to imaginary people beside him.
"Anyone for some cake?" he offered, answering "No?" to the silence and pacing happily around, sighing with contentment.
Dismayed at the real housemates’ return from the Diary Room, Rex groaned and asked whether they could stay inside a little while longer.
"I had the best time ever," he told Sara. "Fifteen minutes on my own, away from you nutcases."
