Group told to gamble shopping budget

Housemates were hoping Lady Luck was not on their side today after being told that they must lose £280 on the slot machines to win this week's luxury pot.

Head of House Mohamed read from a laminate: "Yesterday, as the first part of this week’s shopping task, housemates staged a Las Vegas variety show.

"As housemates performed to Big Brother’s satisfaction, they were awarded a luxury shopping budget of £5 per head per day. This adds up to a total of £280."

He continued: "For the second part of this week’s shopping task, housemates must gamble away the total of £280 on a slot machine.

"In order to pass this week’s shopping task, housemates will have two hours in which to lose all £280 and any winnings they procure."

Mohamed told the group that they would each get a pot of 350 10p coins and would have two hours in which to lose their cash.

If any coins remained at the end of the time limit, he said housemates would be living on a basic budget in their final week.
