Big Brother wishes group "good luck"

Fear turned to jubilation for the five remaining housemates today as Big Brother wished them all luck for Friday's final.

The group was told to gather on the sofas at lunchtime and ordered to listen "very carefully" by Big Brother. Each housemate was then told to stand up as their names were read out in alphabetical order.

"Housemates, listen very carefully. As you know, you are the remaining five housemates in the Big Brother House," came the announcement, as the group looked at each other in terror fearing a repeat of last night's eviction.

"Big Brother would like to congratulate all of you and wish you luck for Friday’s final."

Cheers and whoops of joy filled the room as housemates cuddled and screamed with relief.

"That was cruel, that was cruel," Sara shouted. "I thought there was an eviction."

Rex said Big Brother had done a convincing job of deceiving them into thinking someone was to be ousted, adding that the doors were locked and crowd noise played.

"Oh, my heart," Sara sighed, later adding that it was a "sweet relief" to know the group can now just relax and enjoy the lead-up to Friday’s big event.

"I thought Davina was going to come on, I really did. 100%," she told Mikey.
