BB Luke, Bex: 'Romance proved sceptics wrong'
Published Tuesday, Apr 7 2009, 08:55 BST | By Lara Martin
Luke Marsden and Rebecca Shiner have claimed that they are living proof that Big Brother romances can survive outside the house.
Speaking at last night's Digital Spy Reality TV Awards, the couple revealed that they were still going strong eight months after meeting on the ninth series of the Channel 4 show.
"It wasn't a scam for the papers and to be honest, a lot of people thought it was. Especially people who are sceptical of Big Brother romances and say 'give them 15 minutes,'" said Marsden.
"Try eight months later and we're still together and we're so happy."
When asked whether either of them would appear on another reality show, Marsden said: "I've been emailing The Apprentice but nobody has emailed me back! I'd like to try it just to hear the immortal words 'you're fired' because it would be inevitable."
Joking, Shiner added: "You're not going to get on it!...I could tell you 'you're fired!'"
