C4 'aware of BB live feed complaints'

Speaking on behalf of chief executive Andy Duncan, viewers' editor Paula Carter told DS forum members that low demand meant that it could not sustain the 24-hour live feed of the first nine series.
Responding to a letter, Carter said: "Unfortunately, we found that less and less people were watching the live feed, so although it must be very frustrating for loyal fans like yourself, it has reached a point where we could no longer justify offering this service on a twenty-four hour basis.
"I am very sorry to be the bearer of this news but I hope that you will still be able to enjoy this latest series of Big Brother."
Forum user lovecat86 said: "I have no interest in watching some pre-scripted storyline where they edit live footage and put random time stamps on things to fit the story. It's crap."
Blondedumbition added: "Well, Paula, less and less people are watching the h/l shows too now. By the end of the series the viewing figure will probably be on a par with what the live feed used to get."
However, Firespire conceded: "To be fair it must cost a bit to broadcast a television channel even on satellite. If not enough people watch it then you don't get enough revenue from it."
