Davina McCall: 'Get over BB ratings'

WENN

Davina McCall has said that Big Brother fans should not be concerned about the programme's viewing figures.

Last week's launch show had the lowest ever ratings for a Big Brother series premiere, pulling in 4.79 million viewers and another 293,000 on Channel 4+1.

The first live eviction averaged 1.78 million viewers, while 7.66 million people watched Yasmina Siadatan's post-Apprentice winner's interview on You're Hired.

Writing on her Twitter page, McCall said: "All you ratings obsessives... let it go. 10pm Sunday night C4 1.8...AMAZING!! Get over it...make your cup half full...big love!"

The show host confirmed that she only appears on evictions and specials, saying that the rest of the time she watches the series at home like other viewers.

She added that she "can't do anything" about the controversial lack of live feed on this year's show, but is "on the case" about getting the official website updated more often.
