Robert Webb: 'BB is tawdry s***'

Robert Webb has described Big Brother as a "tawdry piece of shit" and laughed off the suggestion that he could name his first-born child after a housemate.

Speaking on BBC One's Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, the Peep Show star said that he is not a fan of the programme.

Ross asked: "If you haven't got some names already, seeing as we've got Davina [McCall] on the show, could we ask you to name the baby after one of the current residents in the Big Brother house?"

Webb replied: "The child will go, 'Daddy, what did you name me after?', 'I named you after the tawdry piece of shit that was on Channel 4'.

"I don't mean Davina, I mean the show. Davina's nice. She's nice, she's just doing a gig."

He added: "Why would you have a load of mentally ill people in a house and prod them? Come on, they're all nutters."

Back in the show's Green Room, McCall exclaimed: "They're not!"
