As he washed up in the kitchen, Marcus remarked that he had never wanted to upset the Irish housemate.
"You're still the only person I can talk to on my level," he noted. "And when I said, 'Are you being lazy?' earlier on, that was a joke."
Noirin admitted that she had been "snappy", adding: "We'll start again fresh, then, OK?"
Marcus said that she looked nice, but after thanking him Noirin reminded the 35-year-old not to compliment her. "I just don't want things to be perceived in a different way," she explained. "I enjoy being friends with you and having a laugh with you."
"Yeah, but that's like everyone else does it, and one person's not allowed to do it," Marcus replied. Noirin insisted that no-one else does compliment her, but the window-fitter smiled: "Of course they do. It's just that you only pay attention when I do it, because I'm me."
Noirin concluded: "Can we please just go back? Because I don't want to have a fight with you and today I feel like I'm snapping at everything you're doing, and I don't like it."
