BB1 Nick refuses to appear on show?

'Nasty' Nick Bateman has pulled out of Big Brother's birthday celebrations, reports suggest.

The Big Brother 1 housemate was due to appear in the house today to take part in a replica of the assault course featured in his series.

However, he decided not to take part last night because he discovered that he is not being paid, according to the Daily Star.

Bateman alleged that he was kept in the dark about why he was returning, telling Hot TV: "I'm not doing it. Who works for free these days? And I would never do that assault task again."

His decision has reportedly left Big Brother producers searching for a replacement.

Former housemates will be entering the house each day this week to challenge the current inmates to tasks from their series.
