The former contestant was due to appear in the house today as part of the reality show's tenth birthday celebrations.
He told Heat: "When I agreed to take part, no-one would tell me which task I would be involved in. Probably because they knew I'd say 'no' straight away. They were very mysterious about it.
"When I found out it was going to be a repeat of the assault course from series one, I just knew they were hoping I'd make a complete fool of myself again."
He continued: "I'm up for having fun - otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to take part in the first place - but I'm eight years older and a few pounds heavier than my first time on Big Brother, so I when I found out what the task was going to be I decided it wasn't for me.
"It's a shame because I was really looking forward to being part of their tenth birthday celebrations."
"Nasty" Nick has been replaced by Big Brother 1 winner Craig Phillips.
