Tom had cited "boredom" as one of his main reasons for leaving, which seemed to annoy David. Furthermore, Tom had also suggested that most of the housemates were on the show only to become famous.
"He must be a bad judge of character then," commented David, adding: "I clean the street. I never quit anything."
As housemates continued to question whether they wanted to be in the house, he told them: "I've worked for £6 an hour since I was 16 - this is a walk in the park for me."
Marcus responded by telling him that he was obviously in the house for the right reasons. "It's great having you here," he told the clothes sorter.
"This is the opportunity of my life," David continued.
"If you walk you've taken someone else's place. When I got offered to come on the show I cried. It meant the world to me and I'm not going to disrespect Big Brother," he said.
Charlie agreed that there were people who "would give anything" to be on the show, and it wasn't a big deal for someone like Tom, who is "used to getting what he wants".
David reiterated: "Wild horses wouldn't drag me out of here."
