Tom was waiting to go into the Diary Room and exit the house when housemates began probing him for information about the outside world.
He hesitated and looked at Sophie, before saying: "I really like you, in a platonic way. You're a really sweet girl and you can do a lot better [than Kris]."
Asking him to explain more, he told the glamour model: "If he's there when you get out, it's for all the wrong reasons. I don't think he's a great guy.
"The public don't... he got voted out. Draw your own conclusions," he added, before assuring her: "You'll do well Sophie."
His comments left her questioning her naivety about the situation, which was previously played upon by ex-housemates Craig and Makosi when they entered as part of Big Brother's birthday celebrations.
Siavash advised her: "Just wait until you get out. The signs have not been great so far, but it's for you to decide."
Speaking to David and Noirin later, Sophie said: "I just wonder what's going on on the outside now. I'm sitting here like a fucking fool."
David tried to offer some reassurance, telling her: "Just ignore what [Tom] said. Sitting here letting it do your head in is not going to get you anywhere."
"Just enjoy your experience, whatever happens, happens," he added.
Sophie continued to ponder the situation, and worried that she would be pitied by the public for being "an idiot".
"I'm going to have to go shopping with a paper bag on my head," she joked.
