Big Brother Obituary: Hira Habibshah
Published Friday, Aug 7 2009, 23:21 BST | By Alex Fletcher

Habibshah, 25, lost out in the public vote after all the remaining contestants were put up for eviction by Big Brother. The decision was a punishment for Marcus and Siavash breaking the rules. Hira would not have been up for nomination if the housemates' picks were allowed to stand as she didn't receive a single vote.
The Pakistan-born fashion designer was part of the second batch of housemates to enter the show on Day 44, alongside Kenneth, Tom, Bea and David.
Commentators and viewers frequently commented on Hira's quiet nature in the house, comparing her to Maysoon from Big Brother 9. The only camera time she was given on the live shows in her first days revolved around her exercise routines and singing.
However, many people defended her behaviour, arguing that without the live feed, it was not clear whether she was quiet all the time.
Inside the house, Hira was a popular figure who appeared to provide an air of calm when others were rowing elsewhere. She bonded with Siavash over cultures and was described as "absolutely stunning" by Lisa. Despite claiming that she was "not a nice person", she also received compliments from Sophie and Rodrigo about her personality.
Her highlight in the house came when she got to portray Alice in the Alice in Wonderland challenge. Her efforts in digging out a key from a cupcake with only her mouth was one of the best moments of the series. However, it came too late to save her from eviction week 10.
