Sophie discovered the pack of 20 after she sent him to get something from his drawer. She immediately voiced her surprise at the discovery, given that Marcus does not smoke.
Things then became heated when Marcus took Bea's surprised reaction as horror, later stating that he felt there was a lack of trust.
Marcus explained that he had taken the cigarettes to save them for when the smokers had run out, and did so "for the good of the smokers in the group".
Sophie then became upset that she had "acted like a bitch" upon her discovery, while Bea was reduced to tears trying to explain to Marcus that her reaction was merely surprise and not horror.
She later told Freddie: "People can’t be blamed for an immediate reaction." She continued: "It’s not really about the cigarettes, if we’d found a cat under there we’d be surprised."
"It is bizarre," agreed Freddie, although he maintained that Marcus would have only had good intentions.
"It just disappoints me how little faith he had in our reactions," Freddie pondered.
He, Marcus and Bea were left discussing the incident well into the early hours, during which Marcus revealed to Freddie that he thought Bea was a bad influence on him.
