2.5 million see Hira's 'Big Brother' eviction
Around 2.5 million tuned in to see Hira evicted from the Big Brother house on Friday night, according to early figures.

Hira's post-eviction interview drew 2.5m (15.9%) to Channel 4 from 10.35pm, not significantly down on the 3.02m (18%) who tuned in for the equivalent interview in last year's run.

Earlier, the latest highlights show brought in 2.48m (12.8%) in the 9pm hour, with a further 181k (1.1%) watching on Channel 4+1.

At 9pm Channel 4 was third in the slot, closely behind ITV1's Kingdom repeat, which picked up 2.84m (14.6%). The penultimate episode of Hotel Babylon won the hour for BBC One with 3.43m (17.6%).

NCIS had 1.71m (8.8%) for Five, and on BBC Two, the concluding half of documentary Classic Goldie interested 730k (3.8%).

Earlier, at 8pm, Gardeners' World put in 1.82m (9.4%) for BBC Two, topping the 960k (5%) for Channel 4's A Place In The Sun: Home or USA? and the 1.1m (5.6%) for new real crime documentary You're Nicked! on Five.

A visit to Airline managed 2.79m (14.9%) for ITV1 between 8pm and 8.30pm, then at 8.30pm, Traffic Cops nabbed 2.72m (13.6%) for BBC One.

Overall, ITV1 had victory in primetime with an average share of 21.6% to BBC One's 19.8%. Channel 4 was third with 8.1% (+1: 0.9%), followed by Five with 7% and BBC Two with 6.5%.
