The Conservative MP told Total Politics that she nevertheless does not regret her decision to appear on a number of reality TV shows.
Widdecombe said: "I'm very comfortable with the ones I have not done.
"Huge pressure was brought on me this year to try Big Brother and I said no and I wouldn't even meet the people."
She added: "I disapprove of it. It's not that I don't want to do it, which is a different issue altogether. I actually disapprove of it.
"I wouldn't ever do I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! because I'm too squeamish. I'm not going to eat slugs. Eugh! No thank you!"
Widdecombe took part in ITV's Fit Club in 2002 and has also been interviewed by Louis Theroux for BBC Two.
